I have been a composer since the late fifties, starting out writing jazz tunes for our group, The Newcastle Jazz Quartet. In 1963, I heard Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring" for the first time and it changed my musical life. From that point, I stopped playing tenor sax, and writing jazz tunes. I devoted all of my efforts to composing avant garde art music. Since then, I've composed hundreds of works ranging from full symphonic to electronic and computer-enhanced, multi-media pieces. I've even composed some EDM and House music. I've expanded my capabilities from pen and paper to a full Digital environment in my home studio. I can go from composing and notating a piece, to mixing it in my DAW, then mastering it for publishing on this website.
