This is a songscape I composed dedicated to my brother-in-law Sam. He's a Vietnam war veteran whose job it was to load aircraft with Agent Orange. Years later, he was informed that his exposure to Agent Orange may have caused serious health problems.
He now lives in an assisted living facility because Agent Orange (Dioxin) has damaged him so much that he cannot function on his own. There were many more who suffered the same fate and worse. My only hope is that we've learned from this tragedy and won't let it happen again, but I don't think we will.
